1. About us

By placing an order or using this website you agree to these terms, together with our Returns & Refund Policy, Delivery & Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.

2. Our products

We aim to make product descriptions, images and prices accurate. Please note:

• Colours can look different on screen and in different lighting.
• Natural wood varies in grain, shade, knots and markings. This is normal and is not a defect.
• Laminate, SPC, LVT and vinyl can vary slightly between production batches.
• To extend an existing floor, contact us before ordering so we can check batch availability. We cannot guarantee an exact colour match.
• We suggest allowing extra for cutting and waste (typically around 10%).

3. Free samples

We offer up to 3 free samples per customer. Samples are a guide to colour and texture and may not show the full variation across complete packs. We may limit or decline sample requests.

4. Orders and contract

All orders are subject to stock availability and our acceptance. Your contract with us is formed when we email you to confirm dispatch. We may refuse or cancel an order, limit quantities, or cancel orders affected by a pricing or stock error. If we cancel an order, we will give you a full refund.

To cancel before dispatch, contact us as soon as possible. After dispatch, our Returns & Refund Policy applies.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT unless stated otherwise. Prices and promotions can change, but the price you pay is the price confirmed at checkout and on your order confirmation. Payment is taken at the time of order using the methods offered at checkout.

6. Delivery

Delivery is free on eligible UK mainland orders. Most orders arrive within 1 to 5 working days, but delivery times are estimates. Pallets are delivered kerbside, and someone must be available to accept and inspect the goods. Any damage or shortage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as courier or supplier delays, weather or traffic.

7. Inspection and installation

Please check every pack (colour, shade, batch and condition) before installation, and do not install flooring that looks damaged, defective or incorrect. Visible defects must be reported before installation. Faults that could not reasonably have been found before installation are dealt with under your legal rights.

Please follow the manufacturer's installation guidance, including subfloor preparation. We recommend a qualified fitter. Except where the law says otherwise, we are not responsible for installation, uplift, labour or accommodation costs.

8. Returns and refunds

9. Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your right to cancel within 14 days of receiving goods and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you buy for business purposes, consumer rights may not apply.

10. Warranties

Many products come with a manufacturer's warranty. Periods vary by product. Warranties do not usually cover incorrect installation, poor subfloor preparation, water damage, wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow installation instructions. Please check the warranty documents for your product.

11. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price of the products you bought.

12. Website content

All content on this website, including logos, images, text and product descriptions, belongs to The Flooring Stop or its licensors. Please do not copy or reuse it without our written permission.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this website when you place your order applies to that order.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
